Faculty of Aeronautics Satellite Control Centre
The Faculty of Aeronautics at the Technical University of Košice has built a state-of-the-art Satellite Control Centre with facilities for quality education, research support and the needs of business and public entities in the field of nanosatellite communications research and operations.
The Satellite Control Centre is equipped with facilities with modern SDR technologies, ICOM radios, antenna system with Cross-Yagi antennas for VHF and UHF bands and 180cm parabolic antenna for communication in 2.3 GHz band. The control centre is equipped with computer technology and software for tracking and communicating with the nanosatellites.
The research results of this facility are of relevance to the field of communication with satellites in orbit and the reception of nanosatellite telemetry data by scientific teams from all over the world.
